In Sadir

The Rose is met in the Eversea just off The Saw by three Hanorian corsairs triremes. Their intention is to take The Rose as a prize so they will be loath to sink her but are happy to do her some damage. If the party can keep at least one of the vessels and take prisoners then they should be able to negotiate a pilot to take them into Sadir.

Once in the city the party will get a feel for the lawlessness of the place and that there is a significant amount of coming and going - they could certainly make their way into the country from here and would be unlikely to be seen. Captain Correlian is concerned however for the safety of The Rose and would rather make arrangements to pick them up at some point.

Whilst in the city the party will witness a lichpriest theomancer devastating a bar and all of it's inhabitants over a trifling matter. They should get a sense of his power and may even end up in a scrap though it should be clear that he is major league.

If they get a chance to question then they will discover that the theomancers are the new elite in Hanorian society. Originally a small sect based somewhere in the North, they are rumoured to have made some great discovery that has granted them innumerable powers and a great appetite for live slaves. This one is rumoured to be leaving the city with a train of nearly two hundred slaves.

Following or attempting to spy on the theomancer may engage the interest of a group of wraiths that he employs to thwart any such snooping.
